RANCHI, Dec 24, 2025: Fourteen-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi scored 190 off 84 balls for Bihar against Arunachal Pradesh in a Plate Group match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy at the JSCA Oval Ground in Ranchi. He hit 16 fours and 15 sixes and reached his hundred in 36 balls.
Suryavanshi’s 36-ball century is the second-fastest by an Indian in List A cricket. The Indian record is held by Punjab batter Anmolpreet Singh, who made a 35-ball hundred against Arunachal Pradesh in December 2024.
Suryavanshi was out for 190, falling 10 runs short of a double hundred. At one stage, Bihar were 282 for 2 in 30 overs, with Piyush Singh and Ayush Loharuka at the crease.
A later live update reported Bihar at 416 for 3 after 41 overs, as the innings continued to grow.
ESPNcricinfo reported that Suryavanshi became the youngest player to score a List A century. His knock came on the opening day of the tournament’s 2025–26 season.
Suryavanshi opened the batting and scored at a high rate from the start. He brought up his hundred in 36 balls and kept attacking through the middle overs before getting out on 190.
