Today, Gold and silver prices moved up in India on Friday, December 26, 2025, as bullion stayed strong in early trade. In the physical market, rates were higher across major cities, while futures on MCX also hit fresh highs during the session.

Prices can differ by city and by source because of timing, local dealer margins, and taxes. Jewellery buying also adds making charges on top of the base rate.

On the same day, the all-India retail benchmark quoted 24K gold at about ₹14,002 per gram and 22K gold at about ₹12,835 per gram.

Silver quotes also stayed high. Some national trackers put silver around ₹2.40 lakh per kg on December 26, showing that spot quotes can vary across sources and timings through the day.

In futures trade, MCX gold for February delivery touched about ₹1,38,991 per 10 grams, while MCX silver for March 2026 touched about ₹2,32,741 per kg, as global cues kept bullion supported.

By the end of the day, buyers will keep an eye on global prices, the rupee-dollar move, and local demand, since these can shift store-level rates quickly.
